28 weeks- hoping for 6 more weeks...

Can't believe our babies could be here in just 6 weeks or less! It feels more real now than ever before. Of course, the idea of parenting 3 children right away- won't seem like a reality until they're here- completely dependent on Dan and I- as PARENTS! Some people have said that we'll probably pick up on the parent thing quicker since we're having 3 all at once- I think it might just mean we'll be making mistakes x3- but hopefully it'll be a humbling experience and we'll grow from it. The good thing is that we won't know any different. Before your parents its hard to know and understand the kind of love
you have for your children- it's even harder for me to understand how I'll have enough love to extend to 3 babies at the same time- but even now I'm praying that God will give me grace, even in all my faults and the countless ways I'll screw up as a parent. It's awesome to know that it's only because of God's love that I can give our children even a glimpse of that love.

So as you can tell from the date of my last post that I'm not doing such a great job with this blog thing. I'll be on bedrest in less than 2 weeks, so hoping to be able to keep up with it better then (as long as my belly isn't too big and my hands don't cramp up on me like they already have). Anyways, so here are just a few random updates...

- 28 1/2 weeks (measuring the same as 38 weeks though)
-Csection will be scheduled b/w 34-35 weeks, but I could start going into labor sooner
-My weight: 178.9 (as of Fri)- I've gained 33 lbs. total
-Babies' weight (as of Fri)- Baby A and Baby C are 2lbs. 8 oz. and Baby B is 2 lbs. 6 oz.
(The doctor said these are great weights- even for a single baby!)
-No major complications, just aches and pains as each weeks goes by and the extra weight (as you can see from the numbers above- I'm already carry about 9 lbs. of baby)
- Main pain symptoms: lower back pain, cramping in my hand (using a wrist band at night to prevent carpel tunnel), pain in upper stomach around gall bladder, and just plain feeling crowded. I've gotten some tips from my doctor on some of these issues, but of course the main thing that will relieve it is delivery. And we don't want this happening anytime soon!

We are doing pretty good with all our "baby gear" since we had 4 showers. This was such a blessing and we're truly grateful for everyone's generosity! The nursery is coming together- once we have a dresser, we can put more clothes, etc.. away and make the final touches. (Pics to come) All I can say is that our babies are going to be better dressed than their parents! Such cute clothes- can't wait for them to be able to wear them :)
